Events for fellowship and fundraising
This year, the Grand Chapter Fundraising Committee and Royal Arch Masons Charitable Foundation (RAMCF) have A LOT of events being planned. In fact, we’ve got more than ever before, including more and more that are organized by our local Chapters. Here’s just a glimpse of what we have in store:
September 25, 2016: Grand Reception Dinner & Fundraiser
With the theme “Yorktoberfest!” this Bavarian-style Octoberfest celebration is sure to be one party you don’t want to miss. In addition to family-style Bavarian food, there’s a live German band, dancing, 50/50 raffles, and gift basket raffles. Click here to learn more.
November 20, 2016: Masonic Charities Expo
The first of its kind, this all-day expo will be held at the Valley of Chicago Scottish Rite Temple in Bloomingdale, Illinois. Come learn more about the RAMCF and our charitable cause, childhood autism. Open to the public as well as Masons, their families, and friends, there is NO CHARGE to attend this expo. Details coming, but here’s our page on this event.
January 28, 2017: 2nd Annual Steakhouse Dinner Fundraiser
Come back to Danville, Illinois and get a great steak dinner for less than $17! You can even have it cooked by our Grand High Priest or one of his officers for a small donation. We’ll likely have 50/50 raffles and other opportunities for you. Find out more here.
July 21, 2017: Craft Beer Festival
This is one we’ve wanted to do for a long time. At our annual Grand Sessions, our Grand Chapter’s hospitality suite will be the host of a two-hour special tasting (and judging!) of many home brews. Details are still being determined, but here’s what we know.
So what else?
Still in the planning stages, but very likely are:
- Winter 2016/2017 Minor League Hockey Game Nights in Rockford, Chicago, Peoria, and maybe Danville
- Spring 2017 Minor League Baseball Games in Peoria, Geneva, Bloomington, Schaumburg, Joliet, and Danville
- Pekin Chapter is planning a paintball tournament in the fall of 2016
- Pekin Chapter is also planning on holding their Spring 2017 Dart Tournament
